PRODUCT FEATURES AND BENEFITS

The innovative eXapathTM cable pathway system from Homepath Products...because there’s always going to be that next great electronic innovation...
It's a Home Run!

Line voltage (electrical) and Low voltage (data, CATV, stereo, security, automation) wiring differ in how they're installed.
Line voltage is generally installed horizontally, running from one stud cavity to the next using a "daisy chain" method to connect electrical outlets as part of a common circuit.
Low voltage for home theater, whole house audio, cable TV, data communications, speaker wiring etc. uses a "home run" method creating a direct link between each media outlet and its source. As most homes are built today these low vo ltage cables are permanently installed leaving the homeowner with many permanent outlets but lacking the flexibility for the homeowner to upgrade the cables as technology needs change. Consumer electronics improve with each new generation of technology and the cables connecting them within the home often require changing too.
The eXapath cable pathway system integrates seamlessly within the walls of the home providing a convenient reusable pathway in which cables can be installed, removed, and upgraded with time.
By forcing line-voltage and low-voltage wires to cross at 90 degrees, eXapath supports best signal performance and helps minimize interference associated with alien cross talk and electrical noise.
What route will the low voltage cables take?
First Floor: When installing on the first floor the eXapath system is designed to create a pathway from the first floor down into the basement or crawl space beneath. Low voltage cables can then be easily run from each eXapath wall location to a central distribution box/patch panel for connection to sources.
Second Floor: When installing on the second floor the eXapath system is designed to create a pathway leading from the second floor wall cavity into the attic. In addition, a main chase (commercially available 1-1/4" gray schedule 40 PVC conduit, 4" or larger recommended) running from the attic through the second and first floors and ultimately into the basement is necessary. 1-1/4" schedule 40 conduit is the perfect complement to the eXapath system with bell-ends and unions that fit securely on the pipe section of the eXapath mounting bracket.
Once the eXapath cable pathways are installed and the main chase provided a convenient route exists for low voltage cables running from the second floor all the way to the basement of crawl space to their final termination point in the same distribution box mentioned above.
Unsurpassed flexibility for homeowners for years to come
With the eXapath system and a main chase installed, homeowners simply add eXapath media outlets at any point, from floor to ceiling, along the in-wall eXapath cable pathways. No wall destruction, no messy fishing through insulation, no blind drilling through the house frame for wires, no costly wall repairs.
The eXapath system is easily located with a common density-based stud finder and eXapath snap-in media outlets install following a quick, simple procedure.
